Activities
- Creates awareness on prevention of harm to children using the media, posters, brochures and flyers.
- Provides psychosocial counseling to abused children and their families especially families of children with disabilities
- Receives, responds, refers and follows up on reported cases of child abuses
- Supports institutions develop and implement institution’s specific child protection policies and policy action plans
- Carries out risk assessments for organisations to minimize risks of harm to children
- Provides capacity building in matters of child safeguarding and protection
- Offers legal support to abused children with disabilities
- Coordinates and/or leads in child protection within the CBC Health Services.
- Monitors and ensures vulnerable children up to the age of 18 years within the System and its key implementing partner projects are safe and protected from harm.
- Conducts research on prevalence of abuse and emerging issues relating to child protection and safeguarding
